CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition - one of the world’s largest mineral investment, cooperation and trading platforms - covers the whole value chain, including geological surveying, exploration development, mining rights trading, mining investment & financing, smelting & processing, technique & equipment, mining services and many more. CHINA MINING plays a critical role in creating more communication and co-operation opportunities for domestic and international industry communities.
Since the first time CHINA MINING was held in 1999, the scope and influence has been extending every year. CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition has now become an annual not-to-miss event and a platform for the world mining players. CHINA MINING 2011 attracted more than 5,000 delegates from 55 countries and nearly 400 exhibitors.
Over the last 6 years, British Columbia has led mineral investment attraction missions to China/Japan/Korea and hosted Asian delegations seeking investment opportunities in BC. Aimed to profile the rich and diverse mineral resources in BC and help exploration companies with projects in BC find potential partners, these missions led to several investments into BC’s mineral sector from Asia and played a role in others.
The Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mines, will be leading a mission to participate in the annual China Mining Congress and Expo (http://www.china-mining.org/en) in Tianjin, China from November 3 to 6, 2012. As part of the Canadian delegation, BC plans to present in the technical sessions and participating in the trade show with a dedicated BC booth.
In partnership with Natural Resources Canada, Canadian Embassy/Consulate, and other provinces, BC also plans to be co-hosting Canada Mineral Investment Forums in Beijing, date is to be determined. The forum will provide overviews of the mineral sectors in each of the participating Canadian jurisdictions followed by brief project presentations by each Canadian company in the delegation. One-on-one meeting opportunities will be available for BC companies to have further discussions with interested investors.
